The financial consulting arm of Banister Research is managed by Harold B. Banister. Harold acts as Chief Financial Officer providing a wide array of consulting services to high net worth families. He currently helps clients manage over $800 million in assets.

Harold creates financial portfolio reports featuring "Navigation Aids", a unique and comprehensive method of managing global investment portfolios that takes complex data and simplifies it into an understandable format.

Clients are met on a strictly confidential, one-on-one basis. His process utilizes a holistic approach that includes other areas of practice including family harmony, health, budgeting and philanthropy as well as wealth issues concerning children, inheritance and preserving ambition. He works in tandem with client accounting, tax, insurance, real estate and legal advisors.

His clients include private companies in the insurance, retail and publishing sectors.

Harold brings thirty years of experience to his consulting practice and is a thoughtful sounding board and coach for his valued clients. He holds a Commerce degree and a Masters in Business Administration.

Harold is a member of the executive committee of two corporations with the purpose of providing a broad overview and perspective. He has volunteered in the community for over 25 years and served on many boards including the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce, United Way, University of Alberta Senate and the Edmonton Community Foundation.

In recognition of his outstanding service to the people and province of Alberta, Harold was awarded the Alberta Centennial Medal on September 1, 2005.
